200sx versus 325i

Currently have a 1994 325i coupe, love it to bits but as i get bored quite quickly with my cars I have been looking at a nissan 200sx.....any one had both of these cars? how do they compare in performance? costs etc cheers

I ran one alongside my S14 and the wifes S14a for about 10 months and to be honest totally different cars........ It was a 2001 model and was excellent at what it was meant for, mainly from my point of view, transporting myself and especially other passengers from A to B in comfort and peace. So so boring compared to the 200's though, but then again I get bored with cars lots of people love and even the wifes S14a has about 260 bhp. Really depends on what you want, totally different cars and totally different exeriences. The 200 is less relaxed, more hassle, less practical but so much more enjoyable

Almost didnt answer your questions. Re performance, spend a small amount of money on the 200 and the BMW is a long way off in terms of performance, not a fair comparison to be honest, different beasts. For me at least, the 200's were cheaper and easier to service but I know a lot more about 200's and can get parts and work on them easily etc, I dare say that someone as interested in the BMW "car scene" might be able to say the same for BMW's.
