Hi all,

My wait is almost over. FUUJIN is nearly ready and here are some pictures from today. We just have some wiring to finish off when it returns from Greece in a couple of weeks time.

The car weighs 1050 kilos without fuel/me - which is the same weight as HKS - later I can remove more weight, probably around 30 kilos when I can source a couple of lighter parts which I dont have right now and are custom made.

Anyway, enough of the talk, finally, here it is:-

Finally, we will return to the drag strip after an absence of 2 years and pick up where we left off - I cant wait.

See you at Santa Pod in the future.

We'll be using the same boost pressure as Mario - ALL OF IT ! :squintdan

'Same weight as HKS'- as in the same weight as the record holding HKS GTR? What has been done to the chassis to get the weight that low?

By the way, the Heat Treatments R32 GT-R from NZ ran a 7.73 @ 298km/h just recently, so we'll see who makes the record first.

Saw it in the flesh in the last stages of the build up, when I popped down there.

The engine is "run in" on a 700bhp turbo, then the fit the BIG one

1200 bhp was mentioned its a full HKS built engine & is absolutely stunning, there is nothing left of the shell it's all cut away inside, just a cage holding it together yikes

The wight saving is dramatic to say the least even down to the subframes & super lightweight brakes - hence it'll need the chute

It's been built to break some record yes

Well the record just moved- Heat Treatments R32 Skyline from New Zealand ran a 7.59 @ 192mph, faster than the HKS R33 GT-R, to claim the WORLD RECORD! It was at an event in Australia. Good luck to Sumo Power in the quest for 7 second runs, although I don't believe 1200HP would be enough to go that low.

If its got a full dog box with 1200bhp+ then I can't see why it couldn't get unto the 7secs.

Are these non-Legal, i.e. do they use full slicks?

EDITED: edited to say its obviously not road legal, built to run in a pro class, looks like slicks, no headlights, no mirrors etc etc.

7 second Skylines are into air shifter territory. Dunno if that involves dog gears or not.

Heat Treatments just (literally just) ran a 7.57 @ 308km/h (190ish mph) to reset their own record. This is at the same drag meet at Willowbank in Australia. I don't think HKS were even able to back their record up this emphatically. I'll post a link to footage when I get one.
