How is it with pickups in the UK? Where I live they have an universal speed limit of 50mph, making them pretty pointless for anyone who doesn't actually need one real bad.

50 mph that seems quite ridiculous...

Down here in NZ they're pretty much everywhere partly due to the farming culture and partly due to their popularity with tradesmen. Haven't seen any of those new Legacy-based utes though, they may have decided not to bring them here.And fair enough really I guess, its not useful enough to compete with the likes of a Hilux, but less practical for most people than a Legacy/Outback wagon.
