Being a long (LONG) term rotorhead (bought my first RX3 in 1980), and wanting to build a clubman style kit car, the obvious (ONLY) choice of engine has to be a rotary.
For the easiest licencing I will use a standard FD RX7 turbo 13B, and modify it for more power later.

I have chassis drawings and want to get engine & gearbox drawings for an FD. Any ideas?

Thanks for trying anyway, I have tried my local Rotary performance workshop, hoping they had drawings, but no luck. (They have scratch built a mid engined road/track car, but it was designed for a WRX engine, they never drew up a rotary). Will try a local dealer, but don't expect them to be very helpful... I used to be sponsored by a Mazda dealer, but my contact sold the business many yrears ago.
