Ok so it isn't exactly new.... In fact its the best part of 15 years old
I've always loved the Mk iii Supra, apart from its ageing (even when the car was new) 7M engine. Some later Japanese cars came with the 2.5 TT 1JZ instead, so I've been trawling the Japanese auctions looking for one. Got outbid on a few, but finally won a '91 GT Twin Turbo 'R' the other week. The 'R' version has a Recaro interior, torsen type LSD and Bilstein shocks and springs as standard, although its missing some of the electrical gadgetry from the other cars. If anyone knows the Japanese auction grading system, its a grade 4.0 and has done a whole 100,000 kms (62k Miles).
Here's a few pics taken after it got to agent that I'm using to get it bought and shipped...

Not completely convinced by the wheels , have to see what they look like in the flesh I think and there are a few bits and pieces that could do with tidying in the interior (gear gaitor, steering wheel and gear knob) but hopefully it'll be a good car

Yeap turbos are parallel, they'll handle stock boost forever but don't like tuning much apparently Tend to blow seals if you try and up the boost at all.
Just the long wait to get it to this country now! It'll be leaving sometime next week and should get here mid September hopefully.

Wohoo, slight thread resurrection, but the car is here now and I'm very pleased with it First time I've imported a car, so it was a bit daunting having to rely completely on other people but it seems to have worked out ok.
Predictably enough getting it the last few miles from Liverpool to Warrington proved the most tricky. Decided I didn't want to risk driving it as its a bit of a legal grey area and so arranged to get it transported. Was let down repeatedly by the transport co and ended up wasting a day's holiday because of it, at least they don't seem to have damaged it :P
Engine seems very sweet, not even a hint of smoke on startup and the transporter driver was shocked that he managed to start it first time on the docks without even having to jump start it.
No noises from the suspension when twiddling around at low speeds getting it parked up, so that's a good sign too. Hard to get a real proper feel for any of it without a proper drive though.
Few pics of it at home, its in dire need of a decent clean and polish so I can get a better idea of the state of the paintwork, few scratches and one ding is all I've found so far so no major problems anyway The interior is tidy enough too, again could do with a decent clean (looks better with the flash on the camera than it really is).

Now I just have to get it MOT'ed and registered

Passed MOT today in case anyone's interested
Needed a new set of brake pads (had hoped I'd get away with an advisory on those so I could change them at my leisure later) and some new rear shocks. Pads were easy enough, but the shocks proved a bit of a fiddle as the R model was fitted with Bilsteins as standard and they're different from any other model. All sorted now though and not even an advisory for anything else.
Sent off the forms and all the guff the DVLA ask for, hopefully have it registered next week sometime
Guess I'll be out there polishing this weekend if we get any dry weather, had a go at one wing and the paint can be made to come up nicely. Does show up any imperfections lots more then though
