Electric window wont open (MX5)

Please help. My mother in law's driver side electric window wont open. She describes it as 'totally dead with no noise or movement'.

I told her to check the fuse first,but im guessing one fuse runs both windows ad the passenger side still works? failing that i guess the electric motor's dead?

That's the worst case I would have thought. Most likely wiring or connectors, possibly switch. I don't know the MX5 so there may be common failures but if not start with the simplest and cheapest fixes before condemning anything expensive.

I know motors go easily on MX5's, mine cant be far off, takes ages for mine to come up

More likely to be the cables Di. The retro fit ones from MX5parts are gear driven which is much better.
