Well, quite an eventful day by the end. Saw a few suspected PH'ers cars such as Captain Sideways and that fancy pants Supra wot was imported last month. Some good, badly and indeed very ugly drifting going on (not that i'm any better) loooooooooooooooooooads of scantily clad women and the mother of all thunderstorms at about 3pm. Club upon club had they're members dangling off gazebos trying to keep the sunny side up while the wind whipped around the place, it would have been funny if it weren't so serious. I should think there'll be a few dinked cars tomorrow.

Anyways, a good meet, friendly people and as it was my first time there I reckon I might plan to camp next year and make a weekend of it... without the bin lids though.

P.S. Sorry, I didn't get any picks, two things I wish i'd photographed were, New L200 with more 12" subs than the well known sandwich shop and a rather large pink Delica (?) affair with a huge bodykit on it. The Jap type where the rear bumper sticks out about 4 foot!!

I had a great JAE besides the force 4 thunderstorm that nearly wiped out our stand, here's what we went through.

Yes there are people crouched under the gazebo trying to hold the damn thing down!

I bumped into PH'er Gamer in the hotel and saw a few other PH Stickers.

AquilaEagle is it true the S2K club had a swimming pool???? (jammy sods)

Yeah the S2K group had a big swimming pool - and a few of them stayed in it right through the storm! Lots more fun than holding the gazebo anyway

Wasn't the S2k guys in the pool - not sure where they came from but at least someone was enjoying it. Was very funny when Ian went running out with the water pistols and they complained about getting wet (in jest of course!).

There were some nasty injuries from the sound of it. One of the S2kers on another stand said one guy lost 17 teeth , someone broke their arm, a gazebo pole went through someones windscreen

Apart from that though, was much better than last year although I didn't think it was clear where all the events were going on - we missed the flame out .

He put them down and the wind swept them away

Well whoever owned the Orangey Bronze S2K, I did pass a compliment while passing in my 5 and he threw back a smile as I think he was busy polishing his car.

I had a really good time, should've really said hello to the Supra lot but so busy doing other stuff that I did not have a chance, the Supra boys had some nice machinery lined up!

We had a fantastic weekend But running things on the MK1 MR2 club stand was a tad hectic and I didn't get to see any parts of the show. Hope to be able to deligate a bit more next year and enjoy more of it. I really wanted to get over to the drift arena, but never quite made it... didn't even have chance to get photos

Oh well bring on next year
