1986 toyota AE86 corolla
Black UK car 121,000
Fensport springs front and rear with KYB dampers
Fensport supplied high flow air filter
Full Janspeed exhaust and manifold
Poly bushed
Usual AE86 extras LSD, 16v
New head gasket/belts aprox 10K ago, Head casting marks removed and decoked - hardly any carbon anyway.
Synthetic oil used.
Same owner last 6 years, 3 previous owners.
Structurally sound.
Front wing and boot lid some rust.
Any idea what its worth?
Thanks
Tony

If its a bit rough a realistic £2k if it's a minter up to £4k easily more if it's really tidy but you'll have to wait to sell it. Most of them go to ireland.

PM me as I know some people who might buy it

Prices are rocketing at the moment for the AE86 thanks to the Initial D manga comics, the Initial D film and because of D1 GP.

I'd love one of these but realistically I wouldn't want to use it every day.

Any drift school would bite your hand off for it. I've seen them advertised for £5500 for good condition ones.

Thanks for the replies, Might be worth getting the rust sorted, its not that bad. Its my brother's car, he doesn't really want to sell it - it is a lot of fun to drive, but he doesn't have the time and could do with the garage space.

i still can't get over the fact that you keep coming on the forum bragging about driving such a shitbox, in what way (other than being worthless) is that car any good whatsoever?

change the record, you are in a minority of 1 with your opinion of the Mk2 Cav.

I thought the Cavalier thing was a joke until I saw the website in his profile... Which is a complete joke. Horrific car, really can't understand people's attachments to such automotive abominations.

I'll take it, price depending obviously, I'd love an 86!! Not sure how much it's worth though. :confused, but if he wants rid of it for some quick cash, drop me a line. Probably out of my price range, but I'l be a fool not to see.

sorry about being so late to reply to this thread, i have been really busy at work for a while now.

anyway, yes there was need, the only times you see jacko is when he is spouting on about that bloomin cav. he is really pleased with himself that he got it for nothing (that is precisely what it is worth) he constantly preaches about how he could afford something better (not difficult) but chooses not to, bully for him.

he then comes on this thread and straight out of leftfield manages to compare a hachiroku to a cav and that he would rather have his cav, the monotony of it all starts to grate, maybe i should be more understanding, but i have little time for his brand of evangelical blinkeredness, talk about worshipping a false idol..........

I'd get the rust done, fix any issues at all with it then put it up for £4500, it'll probably take a while unless you blitz every jap car board, i can think of a few people who'd love to get a good one. I know of a really nice one that was imported to order last year and cost £5500 thats a really, really nice one though, full wide arch kit, throttle bodies etc.

Driftworks is probably a good place to put it, they lap up anything like that.

Thanks for all the advice (well except the cav )
He is getting it sorted properly as there isn't much to do really and will then put it up for sale,
