Well for those who are interested.

Went to the monthly meet today,at Newlands Corner Nr. Guildford, and they are quite a friendly bunch.I MAYBE would recommend it to those of you that are into Scoobies, for a ride out and natter.

There is also a run to a pub in Cobham afterwards(I couldn't get a pass out for that as well!)

There appears to be a few idiots that get along to these meets as well though.

They have a drive from Newlands Corner to 'The Fairmile' pub in Cobham.

Once athe pub,the cars are all parked on the lawn in front of the pub.

There were 32 cars at the pub yesterday!

That's the joy of scooby ownership. Probably the cheapest way to feel 'scattered all over the place'!

I understand 4 of them were making an arse of themselves around that time - a DJ on a local station wasn't impressed and said so on her show!

And the flames were noticeable, apparently.

Unfortunately you do get a few idiots that are attracted to this type of car.

I didn't see anything at Newlands Corner that was much different to a Virginia Water meet. Can't comment as to what happened at the Pub afterwards though as I didn't go.

Not so sure I will go out of my way to go to another meet though,so read into this what you will!

Was around Cobham on the A3. I suppose it if was 4 people in Lambos, they'd be looked at in awe, but maybe cos they were Imprezas...

hi to all

i appreciate that this thread is old now but would like to make some comments on the above and
sb1's comments

the reason i wish to make comments about this thread is that i am a member of the surrey scoobies site and have been for around 6 months+

the site is a very well organised and run extremely well and moderated very well by a strict webmaster who doesnt take any foul mouthing or silly antics at meets and will ban or sensor any out of line threads and sometimes can be very strict for the clubs own good

the club is the friendliest site out of any subaru site i have encountered and the members pride them selfs in the love for the cars and being a family and will certainly help any fellow member with all sorts such as engine builds advice and much more

due to work i have been to limited meets and we are all of various ages and still have the common ground for the love of the car and for that we all get on brilliantly well

for the subaru owners on here we meet as often as possible wether its a mini meet just to collect a new part from eachother or a meet of larger scale such as jap fest and jap finnale to come at santa pod for the weekend

as mentioned yes we do meet at newlands corner and then take a spin of to the fairmile and some do take it slow and some do use their cars a little more aggresively but i have yet to see rekless driving
no more than i see every day by all ages and all types of cars

shadow ninja i am interested to hear more about this dj and the antics that 4 drivers were supposed to have got up to as i cant recal any funny bussiness mentioned.

i know my post is of a defensive nature but i am keen for any scooby owner or enthusiast to join the site and see for yourselfs and make your own mind up so come and join the best scooby family in the area

In response to the last annonomous post from a Surrey Subaru member.......when I said 'a few idiots' I was only meaning there could be a few idiots attracted to this type of car.I wasn't being specific.

I think you misunderstand me.

If any of you you have ever been to one of our Virginia Water style meets, you will get my point.

Why the annon post?

I haven't been to any of their meets but find their site and the people on it friendly ..... unlike a certain other Scooby site which has gone even further downhill than it was 12 months ago - which is a shame.
