When i was at santa pod the other day a skyline drove down the strip, and was announced as a 2wd, is this a mod or is this a standard car?

no reason why not.. Seen lots of M/N reg R33 GTS-T's, and the R34 GT-T.

They take the power well, and there are lots of parts available. I like em, lots of car for the money

Easily as reliable as a supra (had ours nearly 3yrs)- though the supra can take more power through stock internals/box iirc. I wouldn't say a GTS-T was exactly cheap to tune or run, but there are now enough about to pick up parts from breaking 2nd hand tuned examples.

shameless plug: mine's up for grabs

guess again.
there's also the GTS4 or GTST4. rare as rocky horse poo but still a few about.

as for 2WD, there are parts out there that let you control the driven wheels, tasty diffs as featured in most of the drag GTR's like RB's for example.

theres quite a few down here but unfortunately most of them seem to be autos. GTST-M's are 2WD (possibly only R32 though) but can be a little harder to find though I think.

Actually, even the GTR's are in essence RWD.

Off the line etc they are in 4WD drive mode, but to all intents and purposes, they are RWD most of the time.

Have a GT-R here & have driven many more, yes they drive like a RWD car through corners & are fab IMHO. But yes plenty of GTS & GFS-T's about that are just RWD, good fun with a decent diff, the standard diffs are a bit gay to say the least it's one modification that will transform the car.

Should mention though that the insurance quotes for the GTS-t skyline are high as it has no model equivalent in the UK. The prices I was quoted for an R33 GTS-t were double what they wanted for an import TT Supra and they wanted even less for a UK TT Supra.

Only minimal & half-hearted ads so far mate,I'm not really in a hurry to sell, esp in the present market & I've just re-insured too.
Will consider any serious & sensible offers, might even consider a px for a UK f/i legacy wagon for Mrs T, then I can get a '5 guilt free! I've done stranger things y'know

Mine is a GTS-T, and it is not exactly cheap to tune.

If you want some serious bhp it will cost you.

I love mine, I had a racelogic traction control unit in mine recently and have taken it out.

I have a modified diff and it put's the power down really well.

I do get a lot of wheel spin in 3rd, just have to control it.
