Having read the press reviews of the soon to be on sale Prodrive fettled RX8, I wasn't building up my hopes when I went to Prodrive HQ last week to test it on the track.
What a mistake, what a difference the mods make to the already excellent handling.

Has anyone else driven it on here and what did you think ?

Have to agree though. Perhaps a couple more rotors as well?

Oh, and a damn great fuel bowser following. Had one at 1.45 leptons, and I swear the gauge was sitting there laughing at me...

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah !!

Still a surprising improvement though, just not in the power stakes.

it needs two.

i really can't get over the RX8. it falls a long way short of the excellent RX7 in every discipline other than reliability and durability of engines. neither of which it seems to be particularly brilliant at if my freinds RX8's anything to go by.
handling wise they did nothing but hold me up in a 200sx on track, so i wasn't blown away from them.

look nice, some good styling touches ( as well as bad) but they're just not a car i can confess to liking sorry. nice price for what they are i suppose. certainly nicer than a focus ST or the like.

It's not really comparable to the 7 though but if you expected it to be then it'd be a dissapointment.

Also impossible to tell against it on a track day - it's all about the driver. I got passed by one at Brands and I've got as good 100bhp more than the 8. My excuse was it was raining and I suck
