Ricers?? Us??? What gave you that idea
Yep, but Rotorstock is more of an event than a meet (although going by yesterday's attendance you'd be forgiven for thinking otherwise )

Make sure you have an extinguisher guys!
By the sounds of things on the Rotaryclub forum, it took the firefighters quite a bit of time to put the fire out.
I think the general consensus is that even if he had a fire extinguisher, it wouldn't have made much difference anyways...

I hope the guy gets his money back through insurance and buys another RX7... they are very nice cars.
I'm pretty sure he will. It was an awesome car (one of the loudest evenon tickover) but it's mapping had been limited by lack of fuel - he was now running a huge (from memory).
From personal experience it's easy for people woho really know what they're doing to get things wrong but fuelling should be double and triple checked. When I had mine uprated one of the existing pieces of fuel line was re-used and a combination of being disturbed and the extra pressure was enough to allow a high pressure jet of fuel squirt all over a warm part of the engine. Fortunately warm enough to cause a lot of petrol smoke but not quite hot enough to cause flames.
In Blitzboy's case though a small in-car extinguisher would not be likely to have saved the day - I got the impression it was all too sudden.
Really gutted for him as he's a nice bloke too.
