I'm looking for some advice or input regarding WRX Impreza tuning.

I have a 2005 2.0L WRX Sport Wagon and although it is a quick car I just can't help feeling it would be a nicer car to drive if it had more torque below 3000 revs. I don't really have the cash to go for the full monty PPP @ £1600 which may deliver some more torque lower down so I was wondering if any of you guys'n'gals have any experience of tuning these cars to give more low down torque and at the same time keeping the warranty intact ?

Cheers for any feedback.

I think you are are a bit stuck for options really, a 2 litre turbo engine on an actually quite heavy (1400 kg) car is always going to seem a bit sluggish off boost. I don't think reducing weight is much of an option either as though the newer imprezas are 200 kg heavier than the classics, most of this went into beefing up the chassis

An Ecutek at half that price will increase the midrange torque

Fair enough, I guess I'm looking for V8 torque from a 2L 4 pot (which ain't going to happen).

Guess the idea is to keep it over 3K revs

Maybe the money would be better spent on one of these driving days at Prodrive, I can then learn how it should be driven quickly.

Hello, If you do not want to spend thousands there are still options for you. We can remap your car for you for about £800.00 This will give you aprox 30% more power when using the currect fuel pump and air intake system.

If you have questions just ask
