Too short for an MX5

Hello chaps,

Took my mother in law out for a test drive in an MX5 today, she's 4'11" and can only just reach the pedals - didn't look very comfortable at all and I though she was far too close to the steering wheel for safety. Does anyone know if the pedals are adjustable or if you can (legally) buy & fit any sort of pedal extensions? She's really excited but I want to make sure that she'll be okay in it (if only for the free babysitting we get!)

My GF is the same height and is also a wee bit too short to fully engage the clutch, but I haven't seen any pedal extensions. If you find any, do post.

And just to confirm the pedals are not adjustable.

Do some full-bore standing starts, the clutch will soon come to the top of its travel.

Job done.
