Is it the right price? My initial reaction was that is was about £2000 too much, but I don't know much about supra prices

yeah, i think he's being a bit optimistic.

the mods will make it less desirable, but if someone wants a manual TT supra, why not..

yes, but thats you...

a majority of car buyers are put off modifications - especially ones concerning the engines..

generally only people who are into modifying actually buy tweaked cars, and bearing in mind that one is at the top end of the Supra IV market, i'd say its pitched at a limited audience (although not as much as a £20k 600bhp one i saw recently)

IMHO he would be better removing the mods, selling them seperatley, and dropping the price a grand or two..

Most potential Supra owners do their homework first. It'd be cheaper to buy this car as is, than to knock a grand off then buy the parts again.

well, only if you want to go the route he already has... if a buyer has done his own research then he will probably have his own ideas on what to do

As I said, it all comes down to personal preference.

Some people dont want to buy modified cars.

Some people enjoy the actual modifying process

etc etc...

each to their own... It's still overpriced...

LOL that car is barely modified from Stock. I think it is a very fair price. The VVTi 6 is still the Supra of choice in Japan fetching vastly more in the auctions there than any other MKIV. Added to that there are only about 20 in the UK, and that the VVTi engine is a torque monster, and its a lot of car for the money IMHO.

The price seems fair. This model along with the GZ(import) and the UK-spec are the top of the model range in Supras and they are worth their money as they are sound strong cars with all the extras.
J-specs tend to go for less money than the UK-spec cars but in this case due to the age and milage of this Vvti model then it looks as though it is priced at a similar level to a UK-spec car.

BPU is the first stage that the majority of Supra owners go to with their cars... if the work has already been done then thats money and time saved. If you are a modifyer then you have the standard base on which to modify.
