200SX 'bleeding' cooling system
Discussion
Posted on Technical, got some suggestions from 350Matt, but maybe more answers and help here.......
Help needed with engine cooling system on S14 200SX.
I had to change the turbo water inlet pipe (it was leaking) but now I seem to have an air blockage which will not shift.
The fan cuts in as normal, and air bubbles appear in the expansion tank, but the temp gauge just keeps on climbing.
It was all running fine before I had to replace the pipe.
Any tips on how to bleed the system to shift the air block?
There is a bleed on the back of the water pump / thermostat casing but all I get is air / steam mixture.
I don't want to keep running the engine with the gauge rising else I will do some serious damage no doubt.
Help please.......

All I could find in the S14 tech section, but might be relevant.
The search function on the SXOC is pretty good, so if you can think of anything more relevant to try, have a bash.
Pretty much everything to do with self servicing a 200SX has been covered at least once
Hope you get it sorted mate,
Ed

Thanks folks, problem is now sorted.
135sport was posting on my behalf as I had to go out on the night we were trying to fix the motor.
Trouble was that it was p***ing down with rain getting dark and we failed to notice that the rad didnt have enough water in, hence why the water in the expansion tank didnt go down when the thermostat opened.
Have filled and bleed system properly now.
