After seven years faithful service (on road and track) my '89 CRX 16i16 moved on to a new owner last night. I'm gutted - I loved that car, but I needed the cash to keep my bike on the road.

The spooky thing is that the new owner was parked next to my car last week, staring at it wishing he could have one just like it.

It was a bit of a rush job - only an hour between the first phone call and the purchase, so I missed out on the last good thrashing.

There's no real point to this thread, it's just no one (apart from Mrs Muppet) seems to understand why this has hit me so hard. I still have use of the wife's CRX but it not the same is it?

Blah blah blah, sorry, I'll pull myself together. It's gone, but so has my overdraft.

CM - we all get attached to cars, whether old, new, concours or tatty... or anything in between. Strange how we can have such affection for a pile of metal (or GRP!) but we do... so when you do move on, it can be hard.

Cheer up old bean... at least you've got the bike!

Arrr there there Captain,

You already know you have my condolences, and I'm glad I got to see it before it went. I always did like the silver ones too (as you already know as well).

It's always sad to see an old friend go, but if the guy was so keen, we can live in some hope that the old girl's gone to good home.

I think I have some idea what your going through, but I'm sure you'd prefer comfort from your lovely lady than from me, so I'll leave that to her.
