Have found an MRT for sale, 93, black, t bar, bomex kit, awesome aerospeed (?) alloys, modified like buggery. Went out for a run in it, and its the quickest MRT i've ever been in....must be 300bhp at least....

Reads like a Nigerian scam artist to me.
He'd probably want to pay by cheque, which would of course being a genuine ( stolen ) cheque it would clear.... and by the time your bank realised that the cheque was stolen he'd be long gone, and guess what ....... you have to hand the money back. So you end up with no car, no money.
Also watch out for forged bankers drafts these days, you can buy them off the net for about £20, they even have the bank branch address and sort code on them.

I have to say since advertising on Auto-Trader I've had more people trying to sell me something!
"Give us £80 and we'll give you access to our queue of buyers!" Yer right. Gimme a buyer and then you get £80. Not interested? Hmmm, funny that.
I had that with the Civic, more than once. I tried the same thing, said that if they were so confident they had buyers, why didn't we make the fee conditional - double or nothing! I was told "that's not how we work".
Funnily enough I told them where to go as well - scamming little shoites!
Also had some Indian-sounding chap repeatedly phone me and ask me what the lowest I'd accept was. Told him that I wasn't going to tell him that, he then offered me 5k for a car advertised at somewhere over 6k. Said he'd need to try harder, he repeated his first question. Got fed up, told him if was genuinely interested and prepared to make a sensible offer, to call back. Needless to say the second and third phonecalls were equally unproductive!!!
Where do these people come from?!?

I had a fair few calls about the Carlos Sainz when I sold that. All sorts of losers trying it on, in the end, one of these idiots called and offered £3k (advertised at the time for £4.6k) so I said "if its cash, you've got a deal".
He came to see it, and I just said, "sorry mate I must have misheard you, there's no way I'd agree to £3k".
He was less than impressed
But if they're gonna waste my time, I can waste even more of thiers
