NSX for <20k
Discussion
I'm thinking about getting a NSX in May/early June.... I would like a new as possible RHD manual for under 20k.
UK cars still seem to be holding value which is good, so it seems quite a hard task to get a manual nice one for the price above. Quite like the yellow one for sale on here, but it just a smidgen over budget, but seems quite cheap for a 96 model... and i really want a black one :/
JDM import (pre 96) - Any specific model diferences worth noting, engine/trany difference? Had a look at a few auctions tonight and there looks to be a small saving (quite small) importing yourself. What are re-sale (UK) vales like for the imported cars? Do they go for much less than a orig UK one?
Any links to buying guides, and general insurance ideas...? (26, 7ys NCD, no points, garaged)

Troopriziz is right; NSX's are tricky enough to sell without saddling yourself with undesirable spec. Avoid:
LHD
TARGA
AUTO
IMPORT
ASTRO-MILEAGE (although highish mileage tolerated thanks to Honda build quality)
MODDED (Many change wheels - god knows why as I've yet to see an aftermarket which improves on the standard rim)
Strongest colours tend to red, black, silver, weakest green & yellow.
The 'right' spec to buy would be something like mine (yes I would say that!): 95' UK car, 2nd gen rims, Red/black, manual, FHSH, 55k miles - if I were selling now I'd expect it to be around £20k on the nail so your in the correct ballpark financially to find one. Problem is, good correct spec cars come up rarely as once owned they tend not to be changed (you'll understand why once you have one yourself )....
Feel free to mail me if you'd like more details.
cheers,
Steve

yup... i'm aware of the auto and targa pitfalls. Thanks for clearing the import story up for me too.
Do many black ones come up on the market? I've never seen a black one in the flesh, only pics :/
I'm in no rush to buy, so once i'm home i'll sort out a drive in one and take it from there.
