Lost my turbo!

Now I wasn't accelerating very fast, but my civic diesel turbo suddenly lost the turbo part, which means I was crawling along hardly accelerating at all!

It has happened before when I did accelerate quite hard. It seems to come back once I switch the engine off for a period of time!

I'm guessing it's a warranty jobbie! Anyone know why this would happen?

Any engine warning lights?

I'm wondering if it's detecting an issue (overboost) and resorting to limp mode and very little power available.

Turning it off and on may be triggering a reset.
