I thought it was around 5.5 for a rev 3's + slightly slower for the rev 1 & 2's, happy to be corrected.
The biggest trouble with em is that its one change at around 30mph then your changing from 2nd at around 60mph.
One of the reasons the Mac F1 is so quick 0-60 is it can do 70 in 1st gear.

Is that your in your profile Tim?
Thats not a turbo is it?
That's the fella. It's an NA so no, not a turbo.
By the way those horrid little Delta wheels are going, just bought a set of Fox 17" alloys to replace them.
Are those 17" inchers on yours? What tyres are those by the way? They look mean!

Lol, I was gonna mention the 3 spokes but thought better of it
Tyres are Eagle F1s in 235/40/17 rear and 215/40/17 front. Tramlines like buggery and is a bit dodgy in snow / ice but grip in "normal" conditions is great - I wouldnt use anything else. (That said, I did get that set at trade price )
I think its been dropped 20mm as well, but i'm not sure.
Thought I'd best stick an oar in... Even with REALLY provocative behaviour on wet tarmac mine behaves perfectly (Rev2 turbo- same as MrF).
I'm running on absolutely useless koni suspension with standard size Toyo T1-S tyres. I used to have a mis-matched set of budgets on it. Handled beautifully anyway, though nowhere near as much grip.
I can understand Gaz trading up for a Supra. I can never drive past one without genuinely considering it but that said, I'd never want to loose the tubby.
I've only owned it since autumn but I've already had some utterly unbeatable drives in it. I can't imagine any car for sensible money that could beat it for thrills.

Every couple of Months I have thoughts of building a mad one.
I think about it every day. Thing is, aside from cost, I wouldn't want to ruin the memories....
Yeah mine were 8+ years ago so pretty distant now. I occassionally get in my friends
thrash it within an inch of its life and remember what great cars they are

they had become a source of considerable piss taking by my mates....then I saw some on a rusty old corsa being driven erratically down the North Circular in London.... that was the last staw.
By the way on the topic of building a powerful MR2, what do you lot think of this..... I was thinking of getting it and popping it into my MR2......

It's not a Rev 2 engine. The rocker cover is completely different to mine. That means it's not a rev 1 engine either as my mates' Rev 1 turbo has the same rocker cover as mine.
Unless I'm mis-informed It's not a rev 3 engine either, the oil filter seems to be in the same place as my rev2, but I understand that the Rev 3 engine has its' filter in a different place? There's also Gazs' CT26 observation to back that up.
So what is it?
