MR2 mk1 new price?

anyone remember/know how much the Toyota MR2 MK1's were brand new?

According to my archive book of articles from around the time it was getting reviews and road tests (all glowing I might add!), it was about £9295.

However, during it's later days it got up to about £14,800 (T bar) apparently.
