I just went out and bought a new battery for it, thinking that the old one was fully dead, hooked it up, all the electronics came on properly, but when I turned the key to start her, all I got was a loud click [think it was the solenoid].

Any ideas as to why she might not be starting straight away?

It was running without any problems whatsoever, and half a tank of petrol too.

sound like a typical immobiliser fault...
if you havn't got one, then starter motor may be jammed?

It could be the immobiliser, but I used the little key on it a couple of times, and made sure before that I clicked my keyring button so it beeped at me.
A friend also mentioned it could be the starter motor, so we'll check it out tomorrow if we can find it

We found out the problem today... the alarm needed resetting !

Started on first turn !!!

She sounds pritty darn good as well, now if I could just get these last 3 bolts out I can replace the bumper, and then she is good to go.

225Bhp standard, but I have a full brand new stainless steel exhaust, so perhaps 230 now.
0-60 5.5 - 6 sec [at a guess, never timed it yet].

These cars could definatly go a lot quicker if they were put on a diet
[just like me]
