I was wondering if any kind PHers would give me a ride out in their Skyline or RX7 as I am currently considering what to do car wise this year. So before I make a decision I would like to sample the contenders which are:

Lotus Elise

Tuned 200 SX (outsider)

Skyline GTR (If I can find one I like, not so sure about the GTS)

RX 7 FD

I'll happliy reimburse with a or a shot out in the Griff.

Cheers

Chris

What part of the world are you in?

Ahm checked profile, Surrey. A post on FDUK or mazdarotaryclub.com might get an offer from a local FD owner...

The GTST is a cracking motor if you get a well sorted one. I love mine and drifting is a right laugh.

Nowt wrong with GTS-T. Are you looking for a standard GTR or a tuned one? I have one for sale in the Surrey area

Pulsatingstar, yep Crawley's not too far away, I'm near Croydon. That would be grand! I'll drop you a mail sometime if that's cool?
GMan, never saw you about toon?? I lived in Newcastle for 2 years in Heaton whilst I worked in Gateshead.

As far as Skylines go I'd prefer a standard one or mildly tuned. I'm really gauging the different cars in comparassion to the TVR, but any help and advice would be appreciated

Cheers guys.

Ah, you won't be interested in mine then. It'll make your Griffith feel as quick as a Saxo.

I've only had the car since Oct 05'. I work on the Quayside, the car is my weekend toy, and is to difficult to drive in Newcastle and it attracts to much attention. I took it into work a few times but I was setting off all the car alarms in the underground car, so I stopped. When did you live in Heaton?

I know of one for sale in Hatfield in Hertfordshire, fairly standard looking on the outside and it's GTR R32 turbo I believe, and he's mad about them that he had an NA before that!!

I can PM you the link to the For Sale section on the website he posts on.

He's selling it on because he can't afford to run it, and is downgrading to a turbo MX5 very soon.

Get in touch if you're interested in a test drive with him.

I figured that when I looked at the spec. If I could justify it I'd have it off you like a shot, but ideally I want somthing a bit more practical than the Griff, but that's also quick.

GMan, moved out of Heaton this time last year. Lived there for 2 years. I had a Green TVR S3 that I used every day.

Juzzyp, a bti too soon for me I'm afraid If I was to change I'd need to sell the Griff first it needs a little work (front end respray).

What sort of price can I expect to pay for an R32 GTR?

For a good R32 GTR, I would say from 9k. There are some good standard cars for less than that, but 9k should get you a slightly fettled one.
