Happy new year to you all!

In my quest for another ITR to replace the one I sold, I have spoken to a guy selling the following:

Honda Integra Type R C/W W reg #5883
Bought in brand new from Holland and still in the hands of the original owner
30k Miles, Full Honda Service History
Air Conditioning
Honda cat.1 alarm
Front foglights
Alloy pedals
Overmats
Mudflaps

For sale at £9500 and I don't belive he will be accepting any lower offers, the car doesn't need to be sold.

The main area of concern is the Service is due in Apr along with the MOT, then the tax only has around 5 months left too. Would this mean the cars value is set at least £500 too high?
All the service has been done by year not milage due to the low milage, so when will the cambelt service be due? Will it not be the 2006 apr one?

Other than all that how do people view the cars value? I will only be using the car for around 6000 miles, current car use doesnt really exceed 3000 miles so the other 3000 miles will be done for fun Laughing

So the car wont be gaining any large milage so come 3 years time the car will only just be hitting the 50k mark, therefor I hope the car will be worth a good sum if I consider selling her, in top condition?

So yes or no to paying £9500 for a ITR like this?

Sounds like a decent deal, I paid just less than that 18 months ago for a 1 owner 2000/X reg DC2 on 43K miles. If it's been looked after then it'll breeze the MOT, the service may be pricey though as I think a timing belt change is 72000 miles or 6 years - mine will need done this year.

It sounds like it's had most of the options specced, i.e. aircon, mudflaps etc, so they should help to make the car stand out when you do come to sell it.

If you haven't already, check out the DC2 forums: www.itr-dc2.com/forum/

Good luck with the car, still loving mine

Playing devils' advocate here.
I think £9.5k is pretty steep, even though it is a low miler in mint nick. However if you're happy with this kind of figure perhaps you could get him to throw in a major service inc the 60k? cam belt change, even an early MOT, if its going to breeze the test it will only set him back £45, which would give you more confidence & peace of mind.
All the best, great little handlers.

I have to be honest and say that I agree with tuttle. I sold a red X reg one (OK, without aircon but with all the rest and still on OEM graphite wheels) with fewer miles on it for that amount 18 months ago and that was the best I could get - it took 3 months to sell. Personally, I think Teg owners over value them because of scarcity, but they are getting long in the tooth now and there are alot of cars around for that kind of money. The car is only worth what the market will pay, and if you are happy to pay that price, then go for it! If you start tracking them or using the power, they can prove pricey to run in the tyres/brake pad/discs department. Honda dealers love to charge too....

Great, great noise though! I still miss mine and if you choose to go for it, I am very sure that you will enjoy it!
