Have prices fallen through the floor recently?

Only I'm seeing them all over the fappin' place. I see R33 Skylines just as often as I see MRTs these days (and in Guildford, that's pretty darned regular).

What's going on?

Yup R33prices do seem to have crashed ( for the time being anyway) plenty of 'em around now,not exactly common yet tho. Still in say a year, half of 'em will prolly be written off

R32GTR's are enjoying something of a rennaisance(sp?) ,R34'sGTT &GTR still fairly newish & carrying all that extra technology holding their values+ Idon't think any 34GTR's are being imported at present-esva safety cr@p.

Prices are low across the board due to the time of year, but mainly the booming business of importing crap quality skylines and flooding the market with them. Then dreamers buy them, realise how much they cost to run and insure, and then flood the market again trying to sell them on.

Its a visious circle sadly. Good ones will always sell at a fairer price though.

As above, but It seems only the top flight cars are holding true values, look around you can find plenty of 500-600bhp R32&33's from £12k< (unheard of in recent years). I think cheap eBay cars are'nt helping. You see a car there for £5k & think why should I be paying £8-9k elsewhere?. Hoomin nature A clean RB20DE would have made ~£7k 2yrs ago.
Personally, I think time of year makes only a negligable difference to the Jap perf market.

BTW the R33 is the best looking of the heavy dames.

All imho of course

I think your right, good cars, seem to be keeping their value, but that value seems to be slighty lower.

I imagine it's because there's so many ropey cars being imported, people trying to sell them on have to lower the price to get any interest. Decent examples, especially UK supplied cars, still go for £18,000+.
