Right then people, some advice is required.. I am just about to come off of my companies car scheme and buy my own second hand car, and am considering an Accord R-type.

Looking to spend no more than £7k, but a brief trawl round E&M and Autotrader would suggest there are a few cars out there for that price, just not that many!

I'd be interested in what you good people have to say on the R-type. One to go for one one to avoid? Anything special I have tolook out for when buying one for instance? Would be very interested to hear from any R-type owners who can comment on their cars performance, mpg figures etc. Cheers!

There is an issue with the 5th gear synchros on the Accord Type-R's, but don't ask me to be much more specific than that!!

Sidestep... Why is it now r-type, rather than type-R? R-type was a cracking sidescroller back in the day!
