Would need to have 4 seat or 2 + 2 because of my 8 month old daughter. Want something nice and fast fairly cheap to run but will not do many miles in the year more of a toy really.

200sx works well for this - Mate of mine runs one of these as an everyday car and carries his young daughter around in it with no problems.

200sx's are dirt cheap - a national search on autotrader comes up with 4 between 4 and 5k with under 60k on the clock! All S14a R/S reg Tourings with all the toys.

Job done I reckon!

You can get a GTS Skyline for that kind of cash.... Although i'd probably look at the 200sx first.

It's worth remembering that some of these cars were quite pricey new and have fairly high running costs. (not so much the 200sx)

Certainly true for the GT-Four. It's now called the "Space Shuttle" due to running costs.

I'd go S14a route damn fine machine, imho, not exactly cheap to run tho-(grp 17 ins iirc) £5k should get you a very tidy example.
£5 may get you a 'liner,GT4 etc but as said above.
On the Subject of celicas. Have Toyota ever done a rag-top GT4? ('91-92 ish) could of sworn I spotted one last night.

There is a rag top celica, but not sure they did a GT4 version...

Nope, but the GT4 bonnet retrofits and is a common mod.

I know of 1 5th generation convertable running a 3S-GTE and pusing 300bhp through the front wheels. And it's an auto......
