...you finally get around to taking off your induction system 'cold box'; only to find out that the last garage who serviced the car threw away the (washable) ARC filter and bodge-fitted a Vauxhall Carlton panel filter in its place!

Starting to realise that you can get a real bargin by buying off someone who doesn't know much about cars - but it may not have recieved the specialist attention it deserves all the time!

The monstrosity that's in there now looks like it has all the air-flow qualities of a granite paving slab.

I think that might explain my less-than special boost figure!

I do.

That's why I took it off in the first place, but sadly I'd been beaten to it, and someone has thrown away my ARC.

I was considering buying a K&N or Apexi - but £190 for an AIR FILTER????

Err... Yikes!

Don't suppose you take those stupid Capital Bonds things?

I've got £150 of them from company performance awards and no idea what to do with them. I was going to blow them on this as Halfrauds accept them..

What the hell is so good about apexi then? Everyone raves about them...

Mate... it's always burning rich, (I think a lot of Jap perf stuff of this era does) I could run another car on the amount of unburnt gas from my exhaust

Another good thing about the APEXi filters is they don't need any oiling, which can up your afm.

Possibly, I don't presently have Defi's in stock. If you want a quote my next order to Japan will go in on the 20th Nov, or for a 'special' order you could expect a wait of, usually, 2-4 wks.

Unit-8 in Lancashire do 'scoot' branded gauges which are quite similar to Defis' at about ~£60.00 a go.
Thing with real defi's is they use proper stepping motors & modular data loggers, so that you can plug a whole series of info ouputs thru a single unit-if you want.Probably cheapest place for genuine Defi's would be thru eBay some of the sellers are able to buy direct & bulk, I can't compete with that.
