I went and had a look @ a car this weekend....

all i can say is....wow.
big old beasty, silly fast all mechanically sound (just alittle tatty here and there)
So first question.... MPG? well like a mind really :rolleyes:
and are the tappets hydraulic or manual?
290bhp = :cloud9:

GTO's weren't in my list, but hell i thought i'd go have a look see.
its like a grown up FTO...
now just have to sell my baby (insurance work being done @ mo) then when i have the reddies i see if its still availbe...

Have a look on GTOUK - there is a list of people who can go and have a proper look at it with you free of charge. There is a good buyers guide as well. There are quite a few things to look for on these and it may save you a packet.

Hope you get one though - I love mine with a vengeance!

That's a lot of car for very little wedge.

Big buggers though - more GT than sports imo. Wonder what they're like on track/twisties? Less than 300bhp too, won't be fast off the line but should shift later on.

brakes = huge
engine = huge
all working present and correct though
will see how long the FTO take to sell

And get a datalogging kit, remove a small grommet from the engine and instant power increase! Although I'm not sure how much, allegedly takes it up to the 320BHP the 3000GT has but it is debatable.
