So, i love my FTO and all, but TBH its a bit slow, and i want to have one last mad fling.
was lookin at RX7's, (yum but a bit tooo thirsty)
So the G/F has said you have 1 year till the house saving begins....
so i want a hint of practicality, something silly fast and looks good.
oh and Jap (as i love all you guys :cloud9: )
300ZX TT?
NA Supra,
Well modded GTS?
Liner?
S14a 200sx?
all will have to pass the g/f test  but she already loves MR2's and S14a....

ideas?
i personally would like a 300zx i think

Out of that lot I'd say an MR2 T, and thats without bias! After that I'd say S14, then 300 zx... NA supra would be dissappointing compared to these. never been in a skyline, so cannot comment..

want summit with a hairy chest though, not bum fluff
and Turbo's, it must have a turbo
so perhaps not an NA Supra....
S14's are nice, any major pitfals with them?

If I had £6k to spend on a car () these are what I would seriously be considering.

1) RX7, not sure what sort of condition £6k would get you, but definatley worth a look. And bcks about the fuel bill, its only for a year!!

2) Celica GT4. £6k would buy you a pretty tidy JDM ST205 with a few tasty mods. If you went for an earlier ST185 model, you could seriously tweak it with the change.

3) MR2T. there's not much out there that will beat an MR2T in performance per £££. Well, short of joyriding anyway.

4) Impreza. As a former GT4 owner, I shouldn't suggest it, but you could get a v.nice WRX for your cash. And you would never get bored of being sat in traffic listening to that Scooby burble.

You could always try suggesting that if you can get whatever car you want, without the g/f's approval, she can have a choice of colours when you do get a place. It just means you wont have to take her round for test drives etc, and you wont have to go round B&Q looking a colour charts, cos its her choice!!! Everyone's a winner!!

Good choice. Just make sure you get a good one, cos my brother got lumbered with a bit of a stinker, and it cost him big time! Its pretty tidy now though I should add.

I saw some similar nonsense on the spare wheel cover of a JDM Rav4 the other day - it must be a Toyota thing. It was something like "follow car fashion for true happiness", wish I'd made a note of it.

That mr2 is lovely, it even looks good with standard rims were it has been lowered, it certainly seems a lot of motor for the money! I wonder what sort of power its knocking out?

Batty,Do you, & the gf ,have a like, need, love, desire, lust etc for a larger or smaller car?
Smaller: MrT,ST185 Celica,F/I MX5?
Larger: A good example 300zx would be an absolute peach to own.Or a GTST Skyline,go on, you know it makes sense!

mate, honestly just how much do you think i earn!
a liner would kill me!

looking into either a MR2 or 300ZX
you can get classic insurance on a 300ZX, which is nice

This is all sadly true.Isn't the MR2 afflicted with a similar (tho not quite as bad as the 300zx) 'engine out' prob?

Expenses? the skyline's not too bad,I only need to sell one organ most years
The expensive thing is tuning/mods.Maaan,take a tip from an oldie.Buy the car with the power you want, as is.Then content yourself with 'minor fettling'.

They've come in for some image bashing of recent, but you could do a lot worse than some flavour of scooby.
'A feckin' good drive.'an expert said yesterday If they looked better I'd have one in a heart beat.
