My Mum just bought a delica!

The old dear has just forked out some cash on an L300 delica! Although I thought they were pretty funky, in a Jappy type way, I never, ever thought I would know anyone who had one! I must say, I was pleasently surprised. granted they are VERY odd looking, and, similar to marmite, they are an aquired taste... Either you love them, or you hate them. It is actually a fab little number! She got the Super Exceed version, with the 2 captain seats, and jam packed to the hilt in buttons for both driver and passengers! Engine under the seats, and it is actually great fun to drive! Its the first car she has ever had that she has been really excited about, and she has signed up to the Delica forum, and everything. Even has little stickers coming her way from the MDOCUK! Its so funny watching her looking up all the stuff she can get! Funny van/4x4/mpv... Great interior, and great fun to drive! Massive surprise!

There are quite a few mid '90's Delicas going at local import auction.I like 'em have been tempted to get one to trade on-but went for a chunky Pajero instead.
There does seem to be quite a bit of interest in the Jap scene in this type of vehicle,not just performance cars,which is refreshing to see.Some of the Delicas have been modded a bit,dark tints,big 'zorst & chrome.Look really pretty good,suits them in that kinda funky VW way.You mum will be spending your pocket money on a shiny,new s/s exhaust etc before long
