we went and did the run over to Aberystwyth today, that was suggested in the midlands jap meet thread...

It's DEFINATELY a good route to do for a meet.. mind you it is about 3hrs each way (from Leamington Spa), so not exactly a quick blat!

The last stretch from Devils Bridge to Aberystwyth (A4120) is absolutely awesome, and well worth the trip. Also some really good bits all along the A44.

Some cracking roads, and the only other people we saw enjoying them (apart from LOTS of bikers) were an MR2 Turbo and Corrado VR6 in convoy(albeit rapid convoy;))

great fun, and we should definately do a trip of somekind into north wales at some point! I think the Evo's would love it best of all...

Sounds like great driving roads. Iirc don't Evo mag like to do driving features etc in those regions because the roads are so good.

Piers..make the trip to Snowdonia... Roads there are fantastic, and fantastic scenery to go with it. You can stop off in Conwy, Caernarfon, or Betsw y coed! Lovely place!

yep... Betws-y-coed(sp?) is next on the list... but that's a bit far for a day trip (and yes tuttle, is THE EVO hotspot for lots of their features), so will have to arrange a stop-over somewhere...

can't wait to go back though
