S2000 handling
Discussion
I am struggling to understand all the non-sense about the little Honda's tricky handling...this has to be the most neutral, easy to drift, communicative car I have ever driven...as a matter of fact you have to try really hard to over steer, under steer, lose it under braking or do anything stupid -its behaviour in the wet is not too bad either-. The brakes could be a little beefier...
I am starting to suspect that the relative lack of torgue makes the car somewhat difficult to recover in the unlikely event that the rear end goes, hence the misconception of dodgy handling...
It will easily develop more g's than an E36 M3 a Tuscan a hot hatch like a Type R and most other cars I have driven...the car that I can compare it most directly to in terms of agility and handling but also pace and feedback is the E30 M3...the two cars are scaringly similar -not in the power delivery department of course-.

I have bought exactly the right car. After a Tuscan I needed something reliable, with good handling and a practical, fast roof. This was intended to be my break from ballistic missiles...I don't see how the 350Z would have been the right car in place of the S2000...even if it is faster, the difference must be marginal.
No sir, the little honda is one hell of a car...I would recommend it without reservation. But now I must return to more "purpose-built" machinery...
I am however curious to find out what you base your comment one...I understand you are in your very early early 20s...have you had so much driving experience, so as to distinguish that a 350Z would be more suitable than an S2000 for me? Have you driven the two cars in conditions that would give you that information? (Say a track day). I am just curious since "totally the wrong car" implies a rather substantial level of knowledge, experience and expertise!

i track mine and its seriouly quick (not straights) but round the fun stuff..
May I suggest just upgrading the front pads (much better) and 4K on a supercharger. 340bhp, and you can install yourself.
That is then a seriouly quick car.
I totally agree about the handling.. completly balanced.
