I am kind of obsessed with the idea of selling my 4 cars and buying one practical one and having just one interesting one. A GTR33 is the car I cant get out of my head as wanting.

I had a midnight purple one with gold advan alloys in 2004/2005 and it remains in my memory as the bast car I ever owned. It was a decent one with 40k miles etc at the time

Prices are way beyond what I paid 20 years ago and I am wondering, how have they aged and practically in the UK are parts readily available etc

Any owners who have one able to share the practical side of owning one now

My cars now are a TVR Chimaera, 996 Carrera and Jag XK and Defender 90 TD5

I would advise now to be very wary of rust if not looking at a fresh import or one that’s been sorted underneath correctly. You will know the strut tops but lots now have quite hidden body issues depending on usage and storage over the years. I think prices have peaked / dropped a bit in the last year but they are still a reasonable investment that you can enjoy.
The other way is to budget both funds and time to have one restored, parts can still be found and Nissan have started a heritage parts program although parts prices have of course gone a bit nuts. The xenon lights on mine for example can now go for £8-10k per side!
With all that said the skyline experience is still pretty unique, and they are everything that new cars are not in terms of that feedback and engagement especially if you have had that love before like you. Lots of hot hatches can now keep up / be similarly tuned amazingly as these cars were fairly untouchable in the 90s and 00s but that’s not really what it’s about.

I myself have had 4 R33 GTRs (including the UK press car with the reg. R33 GTR) as well as a 32 and 34, and will always love them. The problem is I see them as a £20k car (which Ive paid for most of my old ones) and not the ridiculous prices they're at now For me, for a £40k to £50k budget, you can get far better cars. I opted for an R8...
