Own an Impreza? Fancy a race?
Discussion
We are doing an item for a new car show where we are racing a remote controlled car (the latest and fastest, can reach speeds of 70mph) against a real car.
Do you own a Subaru Impreza? Are you and your car up for a challenge
Do you think you could beat a remote controlled car over a 150-200m looped circuit of loose gravel?
Then we want you and your car for this challenge.
Ground clearance will not be a problem.
WE will be filming at Millbrook Proving Ground, near Bedford, on this Friday (9th Sept) from 10.30am. It will take a day to film and we will cover all your petrol costs and provide lunch.
If you are up for the challenge please contact me NOW on 020 7261 8045 or will.oldham@granadamedia.com

Thany you for doing that, i have tried but for some reason it wouldn't allow me to register...
Anyway...unfortunately there won't be any footage on the net, however you will have to watch the show to find out. Sky One Thurs, 8pm in the new year.
I'll post the result up here after the event!

Cool project, hope it goes well for them.Interesting to see how it pans out against a leary scooby on a looped gravel circuit.
Have seen a similar duel on a tarmac straight.1/8 mile each way-up, around a hairpin & back.(RC vs tuned Elise)
The RC took off like a crazy rocket the Elise caught up after ~50-60 yrds at the hairpin the RC caught up & passed (being able to literally spin on a sixpence) reurn straight the Elise caught up & Just pipped it!

would love to have had a go but one of my scoobs rearranged its engine last week (bottom end gone) and the other one has a bit of a problem regarding scary noises coming from front drivetrain (probably my fault for being agressive on kerbs at the ring doh, oh well its only money isnt it!
