Got me a Seat Ibiza GTi to run around in for the time being, instead of blowing all my cash. Same body shape as the one above, but it's blue and doesn't have all that sh*t all over it. And the wheels are the same style but silver.

It's nice to drive but its 2.0 16v (150bhp) lump doesn't come close to the MR2's.

Ah well... I could do alot worse!

Pics when you are good and ready!

Will do - Can't actually pick it up til next week, but it does look nice. The garage is going to respray the front bumper and knock out a little pin dent for me too.

One of its best features are the (very nice and very supportive) recaros up front!

Unfortunately not - It's not listed.

I only happened across it by chance really.

Good drivers cars imo, stock ones (that I've heard anyway) make a lovely growling/burble sound into the bargain too.Let us know how you get on with it sometime.

get over to www.seatcupra.net/forums/ for all the info you could ever need regarding Seats. For what it's worht I used to drive an 8v version of the Ibiza, good little car, and by all accounts the 16v is very nippy and good on the twisties.

It certainly doesn't wallow about like my old Golf did!

Quite looking forward to picking it up and seeing what it can do now, actually. It felt so weird sitting so high up though, and not being able to see the bloody curbs properly!

Yeah - The salesman said the 16 valvers make a nice noise, and it did sound pretty sweet when it started up.

It sounds a bit quiet from inside though (I am used to having more exhaust decibels than BHP).

Do you find yourself 'stooping' with your neck?

Not sure about that - It wouldn't surprise me iff I did start doing that but I'll let you know.

Apparently the little Ibiza does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds.

That's about the same as a bog standard UK spec MR2, isn't it?

Quite impressive for a wee hatch that I just happened to stumble across.
