I saw that and am pondering it.
My concern is, given it covers so many cars, does it really contain in-depth info on them? Or is it limited to more superficial facts which those who are already well-read on these cars are likely to already know? It's a lot of money, so I'd want more than a 'nice coffee table book', I'd hope to gain some real new insight into the cars.
I'm certainly learning from it. Its a coffee table book, lots of large good pics and larger than normal text. Its a very good quality broad sweep of many of the manufacturers but not an encyclopedia.
I'm getting a lot of new info certainly but its hard to tell if it will suit you. As an example, the first book has about 260 pages and this is a random page photo I took:
