hi all,

i am running a 95 rev 3 MR2 gltd na, reason i cant sell it DRIFTING in the rain, roof off in the sun, i love it too much. my plan was to sell it to get a drift wagon, but i think mista 2 will do the job. trouble is i dont have an lsd which will be a big step forward!!

so....has anyone changed the diff in their na or has anyone welded the one they have, can it even be done on the na mr2??

Thanks a lot.

I dont know the answer to your question, but i didnt think 2s are that great for drifting.

I was watching the "Drift King" video, and the 2 was the only one he spun!

If you are serious, sell the 2 and get an 200sx

The 200sx would definately be the better way to learn..

Unless I'm much mistaken any changes to your MR2's diff will require a gearbox stripdown/rebuild.

If you weld the diff you can kiss goodbye to your tyres and expect lots of understeer in normal driving..

ah b0llox! thas not a lotta fun.

yea i have been much tempted by the 200sx, but the roof doesnt come off and its a lot of agro to change it.

ive had it for 2 years now and with regards to it drifting, it does, have to be careful cos it will bite and send you backwards due to the momentum of the engine being in the wrong dam place. as an alround toy car i cant fault the mr2, i keep thinking of selling it, but just for weekends i cant justify the agro and expence of selling it and specing up a 200 for drifting. im not talking competition, just a few drift days and well.....when it rains. its purely for fun, LOTS OF IT.

thanks for the advise tho, dont weld it is what im taking from that.
