What we listen to in the car may be completely different to what we listen to at home.

Recently the Kaiser Chief's 'Employment' has done a lot for excorising(sp?)right foot.Good *fun* driving noise.
My stuff generally speaking....:blabla:
Lots of old punk all the time:The Pixies,Wire,Magazine,Stranglers,Cure etc
Heavy traffic= any Tamla Motown,to cheer me up.
Very fast cruising= Very slow music like Brian Eno,Michael Nyman etc, helps me focus-yeah right:rolleyes:

What about you guys?

I must admit, I've recently been ejoying the delightful tones of the Kaiser Cheifs.

"I predict a riot" on full belt, accompanied by myself providing full on screaming lyrics, really sets me up for the day!

I tend not to listen to music at home, so everythings in the car - I enjoy mostly things like Green Day, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan etc.

I'm "down with the kids" see?

I'm with the tuttle on this, anything by The Pixies is excellent driving music 'Copper Blue' by Sugar is also an oldie but goodie.

For a bit of laid back cruisin', Jamiroquai's 'Synchronized' is high on the list.

Keiser Chiefs score high here as well.

Apart from that, the MD changer currently contains the Killers, Faithess, Lamb and a bunch of other stuff.

Must get some new music. Most of what's in my car is obscure rock stuff.

Nightwish, Guano Apes, Lacuna Coil, some others that I don't know the name of - anyone heard of them?

Well I do drive a Japanese car (they call it a car at least!) so here goes:

I have to agree with Kaizer Chiefs - it made great Le Mans music!
Also have a lot of Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and Faithless! Lots of very good stuff

Jeez ... how old are you lot??

Pretty much every cd in the car is dance music, Faithless, Prodigy, Streets. Just got the Renaissance Classics album ... mmmm ... old skool house!

At the moment Forever Faithless is the cd of choice for making progress.

I was listening to "Underground Frequencies Vol.1" mixed by Tuff Jam (circa 1998) when my engine blew up this afternoon.

Machine head's "Through The Ashes" gets played alot in my car too, or has been of late.

Loads of stuff...recently have had:-

Lost Prophets
Prodigy
Chemical Bros
Jamiroquai
Stereophonics
Front 242
Nine Inch Nails
Tool
Linkin Park remixes
Gwen Stefani
and a couple of dance compilations...

...which is a pretty fair reflection of the rest of what ends up in there...metal, industrial, hard-edged dance, right through to mainstream rock and "alternative pop".

Coldplay's X&Y has been good on m/way drives,it's stressless don'tcha'know.
Anyone go for Tom Waits round these here parts? With story type lyrics like his, you just can't go wrong.
Someone mentioned the Killers, firkin' good album-'smile like you mean it...wooo-ooo-eee ooo....'

ahem..I'll get me coat

Currently: Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, Killers (spot the theme)?

Plus a good helping of Metallica, Queen, Rush, J-5, NWA and some random old skool hippy-hoppy

Some fine choices, although Chemical Brothers are banned from my car after what happened last time I listened to Exit Planet Dust (I think most of you have seen the pictures by now)

Tool is especially fine, with the occaisional Faith no More, Massive Attack, Judgement Night, Cure, Goldfrapp, Helmet, Ian Brown etc etc.

Oh
Next you'll be telling me Rollins is on the list!

BTW...driving to "Exit PD"??? I'm sure I don't want to hear what happened, but I've got to ask...tell me it wasn't a rare car though?!?

Ooh - talking of trouble driving straight, just thought of another oddball CD that was in the car the other week - Bill Hicks: Rant in E-Minor! Do NOT listen to the bit about Barbara Bush while driving, esp. not on the M1 at rush hour!!!
