I was thinking of painting mine when I eventually get round to fitting my new brakes.

What colour should I go for though? I'm thinking black.

Black worked for me. Red would have been just too much red.

It is, all things considered, a bloody stupidly loud exhaust. Which combined with a freeflow cat* and the Fours tendancy to overfuel like a bastard means smokescreens on full bore and flames on the overrun....

I'm more impressed that you've got an other half who will get the trolley jack out and do some work on the car!

I can't even get mine to check the oil and tyre pressures. Where do you find such fine women? Can I get one?

To be fair, I jacked the thing up and removed the wheels. She did the painting bit while I watched cricket and pulled a nitros install out of her car.....

Have you got the left hand disk on the right hand side of the car? Normally the grooves run the other way (IE on AP Racing installs). Which way do the vents go?

Vents on the discs looked ok. But I'll double check in the morning.

The vents internally are used to suck air out from the centre of the disk so do not run with the rotation rather than against which would ram air into the disk.

I may be wrong but on my AP Disks the grooves run the other way to your current setup.

Interesting, tho I can't see how it'll really make much difference. If you look at the groove angle at the top & bottom of the rotation they are,quite naturally for a circle, equally opposite.Ergo (in tuttle logic anyway) the only possible difference would be whether cooling air is rammed into the disc spaces at the top or bottom/before or after calipers.

Cooling air is taken care of by the sodding great vents in the front discs. As long as those point the correct way, I'm happy.

I going to have to check now.

Mr E is correct in the fact that it is the internal vents that suck air from the centre of the disk, the second pic down looks as if these are facing the wrong way.

I really cannot tell from that pic. They are new discs, and I didn't fit them, so it is possible the muppet got it wrong.

Rode the bike today, so didn't check.
