I quite fancy a little Honda Civic for a summer project. EK, EG, EM etc. Had a look at a couple of Honda forums but they seem very quite with regards to the classifieds. Is there any other forum where the older Honda guys post/sell?

Best thing to do is join the buy and sell civic groups on Facebook.

Problem is these days is that everyone selling a 1.4 auto thinks they have a future classic on their hands and is asking stupid money for something that is worth a few hundred quid.

The newest car on that list, em2, are now 2k+, older ones more, but were rare even when new. The other two, from the 20th century, are seriously collectible. There's a crx on at for almost 20k
You won't get any of these for £fewhundred.

I don’t do Facebook. I’m not up to speed on Honda codes, but what I’m after is the Civic Coupe from around the late 90’s with the B16 engine. Would this be an EK4 EM1? Below picture for reference. Any help with what the actual code is would be much appreciated. Might bring up the actual cars on my searches.

Keep an eye on carandclassic. They pop up on there from time to time. Also exchangeandmart.
The problem is that anyone who knows where to sell one, knows what they’re worth. Unless you can buy it from a family member or a newsagent window, bargains are few and far between.

An EM1 would be a EK shape coupe(the pic), specifically EM1 would have a b16, EJ is the EG shape coupe

There's a Japanese Wikipedia article specifically about Civic Coupes.

I’ve been told about one that’s having a bit of work done to it now. It’s an old boy who has just given up driving. Bought new and kept it ever since. It’s on 140k miles and there’s a bit of rot in the battery tray and chassis leg. Currently having a full front end refresh at the moment.
