WRX flat spot

Just picked up my new scooby but it seems to have a real bad flat spot at about 2500rpm, only running in at the moment so can only take it to 4k so its a bit of a anyone heard of smiliar issues ? Other than that its

Even after running in, I found that my WRX was flat at low revs. The PPP has totally cured this.

If you're referring to an STi, some criticism has been that it's a bit dead all the way to 4k - again, the PPP cures it...
but then, I'm biased....
