2018 Swift Sport Build
Discussion
I wont fill in all the details as it will be a massive post but I started back in 2018 developing a Swift Sport 1.4T. Evo Mag borrowed the car when it was a touch over 220hp review link below:

They had wanted the car for their track car of the year awards but then the dreaded COVID hit and it got postponed and has never been arranged since. In the mean time I wanted the car to be more track focused so started work on developing things further. The tiny TD02 turbo was always going to cause issues so we designed an adaptor flange to take a T25 Turbo. We had ordered a Garrett Turbo but after waiting over 12 months ended up with a Xona Rota Turbo. Unfortunately this was too big for the 1.4T engine. While it would spool up on dyno on a 5th gear pull on the road through the gears it never reached high enough boost so finally we changed to a Garrett GBC20-300 designed for small CC engines.
Work carried out to fit the turbo, we designed an adaptor flange, new pipe work with all flanges for BOV and Sensors CNC machined. New Oil lines etc, new intercooler designed with cast end tanks, Oil cooler, Turbo, 3" down to 2.5" exhaust system made single exit with 200cel catalyst. The end result 272.8bhp and 298.8ft lb not bad for an engine designed to put out 138bhp. At this stage the engine is still completely standard. I measured some 60-80mph times at 1.9's but clutch was starting to struggle although uprated clearly not enough for this power level. We now have a Xtreme twin plate for installation.
To move things onwards I bought a used K14C engine. I have had the head ported, forged pistons and rods, new uprated head gasket and ARP studs throughout. Engine is now built and dropped into the car. I have larger injectors and aim is to run around 300bhp as I feel any more would be too much for the chassis.
With regards to the chassis I have now fitted a WieschersSports rear cage, along with some Tein Monosport Coilovers. I had ordered Ohlins but after 9 months and no delivery date so we ended up taking Tein. We had already installed 3J LSD, Hardrace Rear ARB, Pillowball Topmounts with Front Upper Brace.
Brakes I have fitted some 4POTS not much bigger than OEM only 1mm bigger diameter and 2mm but it does allow me to pick many more brake pad compounds. Added some Hel lines and DS2500 pads at the rear for now until more testing has been done. To fit the 4POTS we had to fit some wheels with good spoke clearance. I happened to have a set of Nissan Skyline GTS-T 16" wheels so promptly bought a second set and have some Yokohama AD08RS for the road and Nankang AR1's for the track.
Seats we decided as the car is still a road car and will be driven by a few different people we went for Recaro CS and made custom mounts/slide rails.
Lots still to do but getting there.
