Is my Mazda CX5 broken?
Discussion
I bought a CX5 unseen recently. It mostly seems fine and the it definitely has its good points. However, there's a couple of things which make me think it could be knackered...
It's a 2015 manual 2.0 petrol model (165bhp) sport model
There's quite a lot of white / clearish vapour from the exhaust when cold, which mostly clears when up to temp. Is this normal?
I've not been drag racing it but I did have it full throttle for a while this week and it definitely seemed to be lacking power... I.e. I'm not sure it would ever have got much over 100mph which seems odd for this engine?
It's returning around 30mpg on average, which isn't what had been reported from previous reports. I generally potter about in the 1.5k to 2k rev range in general driving and was expecting reasonably good economy from this model.
Thanks!

Sounds normal.
They need revving to make progress quicker, but certainly aren't quick.
We have the next shape but same engine, low to mid 30s normal with a 25mile round trip across a city and some rural roads. Longer runs will be high 30s. If we try it'll do low 40s, or just sat on motorway at 70/75 it'll do 40ish.
White vapour is normal also, don't worry about it 🙂
