2006 Galant , beaten with an ugly stick?

Digressing slightly from the previous "What's Next" thread, what have Mitsu done to the new Galant?!?
Apparently it's not coming to the UK but looking like that I can't say I'm that upset. Such as shame as the previous version is most handsome IMHO.

Bloody hell. The Galant used top have quite an agressive lok to it. Sort of like the Evo, but with a menacing frown! It now loks like an eager puppy...

That is seriously ugly- it made my pc lock up! I looks like has removed it's false teeth & is now gurning.

Accoring to Mitsy UK, there will be no UK version, kind of a shame and a blessing. I think technically it is an improvement with the Mivec lump etc but it does look remarkably like a Primera. I guess the Jap manufacturers are into design/platform sharing as much as US and European cars...

It ain't pretty, is it? Things have gone downhill ever since the aggressive 'shark-nose' styling, but I guess that wasn't too pedestrian friendly.

It's a shame how legislation is slowly sucking all the fun out of cars.

Unfortunately it isn't truly ugly. Bangle has moved the ugly goalposts, so whilst 5 years ago it could easily have passed as ugly, Mitsubishi will really have to try harder if they're to claim true ugliness for their models. They will have to windd their necks in!
