I'd never seen one till a couple of years ago a local garage had 2. Now they're everywhere!

They were a collectors car in japan with people sleeping outside garages etc to buy them, now they are 16 years old people are getting to the point of selling them on and everyone loves them here so plenty of cash to be made bringing them in. The girlfriend wanted one 2 years ago and a good one would have cost us £7000 then. Good ones still fetch that now, although more tatty ones are about these days. Due I think to the rich daddys getting their little girls them as runarounds it seems here in Oxford.

The ultimate numpty car. For people who think the micra is a bit too scary and agressive.
Have you noticed that you never see a clean well kept one.

THere are loads of them around where we live. They are all bought by people who think that possessing them shows how unique and quirky this shows them to be, when in fact there are plenty of other pretentious gits (two in the same street even) who think the same.

Even worse than those Figaros though are the little Nissan retro vans (Largo is the name IIRC!)

They are truly daft, not big enough to carry anything, too slow to keep up and look like they were designed in Duplo!

And the micra can be quite scary and agressive too sometimes

I have to disagree, I wish I'd have got the girlfriend one. I'd have kept it in good condition and that would have allowed for something very rare, absolutely no depreciation at all.

The comment regarding the bad condition of most I think I answered in my first response.

They are a car that if your wife or girlfriend only does short town trips and you maintain is perfect, women love them. Body panels are mostly plastic and so don't suffer from people opening doors on them or rust and the mechanicals are all micra so cheap as chips to keep in good order. Insurance is nothing as you can have them on classic policy, road tax is low and no depreciation. Damn good choice of car in my opinion.

What, this thing?

It is a Micra underneath, or so I understand.

I see a few of them round our way (Hampshire / Berkshire). All spotlessly clean and obviously well-cared for.

They seem to have somewhat of a cult following. Not my cup of tea, but I can see how they appeal to someone wanting to be a bit different.

No, look at it - it's designed to look like a snail (not joking).

Cheers,

Nope thats what they are called, the Japanese were never good with foreign languages (Pajero anyone :snigger

Then again considering how slow it is S-cargo is probably an appropriate name

There's even an owners club

Funny, me and a mate were talking about this last night.... then saw 3 of the little b*ggers in quick succesion!!!

They appear to be changing colour as well. I only ever used to see the odd green one. Now they seem to be in all different pastel shades and my Mates even seen a black one and a yellow one (on the same day I think).

One of the 3 last night was a weird 2 tone dark red and off white. Looked very strange.

I see LOADS of these, everywhere I go! No corner of the country is safe. It's totally wierd - as a VX owner I don't expect to see another VX very often, yet there are several thousand in the country. On the other hand I see a LOT more Figaros and Pink Yaris than I do VX. Someone explain!!

True!!! Keep seeing the little feckers. And quite roght about the colour changes, I always thought they were that toothpaste green colour, but have seen a beige, a mauve and a black one recently. Hateful things TBH.
