URGENT HELP - MR2 workshop manual
Discussion
Guys, I need a workshop manual for a Mk2 MR2, specifically for the engine (SW20, 16v 157bhp one) as my brother's has a problem (see engine forum here). He used to have one in pdf form on a CD but he's lost it
If anyone's got one could they let me know
cheers

You want to speak to a guy called Michael Canny on the www.imoc.co.uk site, I bought my copy from him a couple of years back only costs about 2 quid, think his username on there now is just Michael.
Thanks chaps, from various forums I've been reading it's sounding like a big end failure so will have to get one to swap engines or rebuild it. eBay looks easy enough, and I think my brother has an account so will get him to buy one.
However, I need to get a spark plug socket for it, as all mine are too big. Anyone know what size they are? I think they're 16mm, but I've also seen 14mm mentioned. They're too deep for me to measure.

I'm pretty sure it's 14mm.
Oh know another option!!
I've been told by 2 people it's 10mm, another 2 it's 16mm and now you're saying 14mm!!
Have I got the right engine code for it? It's a 1990 G-limited 2lt 16v.
Engine looks like this:

Just a bump to ask if anyone happens to know of a 3SGE engine going cheap, or know someone who does? Perhaps someone knows of a Celica or MR2 that are being broken for spares?
Take a look in the engine forum for pics as to why
Edit to add: a 16mm socket is correct for the spark plugs (although Halfords label it as 10mm as that's the thread size ). Also, an on-line version of the MR2-T manual can be found here:
