Apologies in advance if this is old news and/or I'm sounding like a retard! :scratchchin: Has anyone got an aftermarket cold air intake fitted on their S2000?
If so, what make is it, from where, about how much? Really struggling to find any. Is it true that a prelude 2.2 one is the same fit?

Cheers.

HKS and K&N do one, for sure. I don't know about the other tuning companies.

You might have better luck asking on s2ki.com

Never heard of the Lude one working on it before ,(doesnt meen it wont though)

Theres AEM 2 different types I think

Mugen if you have a spare £1500

Spoon do a snorkle

What are you hoping to get by fitting one, if its a bucket load of extra HP forget it ,if its to help cure the Kangarooing or give you some noise get one

Cheers for that guys. Not after more hp, not really into all that, I was just advised that, as you say, it would cure the "Kangarooing" as it is freaking out the other half and I don't want her sticking it in to a wall or small child if she panics!

Your best bet is to go for a snorkle intake along the lines of the spoon one then, this is a far cheaper one www.prestigeautoaccessories.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=126&osCsid=7a46c38de966890632cede0238e77bbe think its about £150

In my experience using Optimax cures the problem completely.

Mmmm - try this - look for the section on the MAP sensor:

www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=301506

Also mentioned here:

If that doesn't work, I would get a dealer to run a diagnostic before you spend a lot on an intake.
