Watch yourselves out there!

Me and a friend were out driving on Saturday in his (beasty) 2.0 TDI Vauxhall Vectra.
Coming off a roundabout it started to squirm all over the road under power. Wisely he cut the revs and coasted a bit before trying again and we managed to pull away.
Seconds later there's an almighty bang as a Ford Transit (rear-driven) finds the same slippy patch as we did and spins into the armco.
Remember people, winter is coming and water/diesel is not a nice mix!
I was poo-ing myself for the rest of the day. Suffice to say, if I'd collected my new MR2 last week, as I'd been hoping, there's no way Saturday would have been wasted in a Vectra!
I would now be the proud owner of a rather hefy insurance bill...
Beware!
[small] And MrE you can stop smirking back there... [/small]

Welcome to the wonderful world of being a motorcyclist. At least you don't just fall over in a car.
I noted that you were in a diesel. I hope that you will now realise the importance of checking that your diesel filler cap is actually closed properly, unlike most lorry drivers!
If you want a real buzz, try the M25/A1M interchange roundabout. This is usually so covered in diesel dumped by lorries having just filled up that I can't actually touch the throttle in the wet on my bike until I am half way up the slip road and bolt upright.
Great fun when I had my RWD Corolla though!
